PABX NOS.23388922-24,23388942-44,
My Lord,
Sub: Requesting the preferences of 90 and above marks in
Teachers’ Recruitment Process
I wish to draw your kind attention regarding the above, how
I was deceived by breaking rules after the selection processes started.
Teachers’ Recruitment Board of Tamil Nadu had announced for conducting
Teacher’s Eligibility Test for the year of 2012-13. As per the notification
dated 22.05.2013, I had written the Exam on 18.08.2013. As per the instruction
mentioned in the notification that 60% or more marks will be declared pass, I
had scored 98 marks out of 150. Hence I was declared the TET pass as per the
Govt. Notification.
Meanwhile the TRB had called me for Certificate Verification
on 23.01.2014. After the Certificate Verification was over in a satisfactory
way, I was full of ambitious to get the Govt. Job. At the time, the Election
Commission had announced the Parliament Election. As being considering only
vote bank, Tamil Nadu Government announced the 5% relaxation from qualified
mark 60% of 150 marks for those who belong to SC,ST,MBC,BC and differently
abled persons vide government GO 25 dated 06.02.2014. But the Government left
us pathetic by overruling the previous notification dated 22.05.2013. Already
more number of candidates were qualified who got 90 and above marks against the
less vacancies available. Meantime 5% relaxation of enormous candidates those
who obtained the marks of 82 – 89 marks’ were too selected for same less
vacancies.
While Honorable High Court was scrutinizing such a GO 25, it
was found that it was issued on grounds against both the of Constitutional Act
and Government Policy decision. Hence the GO 25 was quashed by Honorable High
court at Madurai and permitted relaxation candidate as “if any selection has
already been made on the basis of this Government order, persons who were
selected for appointment on the basis of the impugned Government order shall
not be affected”. As being capitalizing the above statement made by the
Honorable Court, the Government issued appointment order by over night to all
including more relaxation candidates for available vacancies.
Weightage Marks:
Apart from the above, as per the NCTE guidelines, the
Government had implemented the Weightage marks that should be accounted with
TET marks for recruitment process. This system is benefitted to only those who
completed academic qualification with degree recently, because of the education
system is being changed time to time. Though we had an enough experience by old
education system, and matching the same qualification for teaching, we are
abruptly ignored by this system. This is not our fault of changing the
education system from earlier version. Hence this Weightage system too leaves
us as a curse while comparing new and old education system as one and same for
the recruiting process.
By the both way GO 25 as well as Weightage System pushed us
to corner and secluded in a selection process. The retrospect effect of the
date of the GO 25 only was deprived us from getting the Government Job.
Hence I request your good self to consider our pathetic
situation and justify for offering more preference to the candidate those who
get 90 and above marks in TET as per the Government Notification dated
22.05,2013.
Thanking you.
Yours faithfully
N.Venkatesan
